Our Falkland Business Development Officer and Audit Manager, Luke Quintana ACA, had the pleasure of speaking with a group of Year 7-11 students about the path to becoming a Chartered Accountant at Moore Dixon.
He was met with a few sceptical looks at first but, as the session progressed, there were smiles and even laughter. By the end of the interactive session, students had a newfound interest in audit and accounting, particularly after they realised that you don't have to be a maths genius to succeed in the field! It was incredible to see their perspectives shift as they opened their eyes to the numerous opportunities that this career path provides.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Falkland Islands Community School for their support in making this event a reality. We truly enjoy inspiring and guiding young minds, and we hope that when these students are ready to choose their career paths, they will remember Moore Dixon. Who knows - perhaps one day, we will see familiar faces come through our doors as the next generation of accountants!
